#NerdsUnite: Ask That Nerdy Chick (Should the guy you're dating still keep an active dating profile?)

It is my goal for 2012 to take a lot of my weird and wonky experiences as a lifecaster and help nerdy dudes out by providing a frank (not shirley) and honest answer to some weird and potentially random questions you may have about life.

Here is an email I got on Facebook the other day ...

First of all, thanks for reaching out and for reading. Greatly appreciated!

Secondly, no chick "gets bored" and scopes out a guys social pages. Let's keep it real and call a spade a spade, you were totes digi stalking. Nothing wrong with it ... we all do it mama.

I encourage people all the time that until you have had the "are we still seeing other people?" conversation with the other person, you absolutely absolutely absolutely have to keep dating other people. He's PERFECTLY entitled to still be dating other people, and you should be too!!! Dating is a shit show and if nothing else it will make you understand what a great catch this guy truly is.

Having an active dating profile, however, afffffftttteerrrrrrr you've had that conversation is a horse of a different color. All dating profiles should be kept inactive when both parties are aware that you are in a committed relationship. Period end of sentence. If you catch your guy or girl with an active profile - you ABSOLUTELY have a right to say something - he's flirting with the cheating card and that's not kosher for passover.

I would take this "next step" opportunity as a time to talk about your commitment. Sex is a physical commitment with your bodies so why not take this chance to also discuss the matters of the heart. If you guys are at the level where you're seeing each other every weekend, you're already half way there. Establish the boundary by grabbing the situation by the balls and asking what is up!

It's scary, and yes, you are taking a risk - but the time is now ... go for it and ask for that commitment!

Keep me posted and let me know how it goes!!

Got a question? Drop me an email! JenFriel at TalkNerdyToMeLover dot com

ORRRRR you can message me on Facebook and if it's within 140 characters on the twitter!

Best of luck out there nerds!!

xoxo <3 @JenFriel
