#WTF: So like, on Monday ... I am going to be professor for a day ... at like a major California University

The ridiculousness that resides in life will never cease to amaze me. For reals, I never went to college, and this Monday I am totes going to be professor for a day at Cal State Fullerton.

I love that she underlined faculty. That's kinda adorable.

Totally not even kidding you ... look at this face, does this look like a professor?

I'm a dirty hippie that never even THOUGHT of going to college let alone teach at one.

(I finished high school when I was 16 and just went to work and started to hustle.)

Here's the breakdown ... but first, here's the song that goes with this post ...

SOOOOOOOOOOO, a few months back I did my first public speaking appearance ever ever ever at my friend's conference in Orange county.

I was superly duperly nervous. Like CRAZY nervous. I grew up on stage dancing, and don't have a problem with being in the spotlight - but actually letting words escape my mouth on stage and having people stare at you as you talk to them for an hour is just ... weird.

It's never not weird.

Plus, what I do is INCREDIBLY alternative, so to tell people to stop doing shit they don't want to do, and keep on striving for the awesome, is just ... gnarly.

(Also too, I am more of a do-er than talker ... talking wastes too much energy. I'd rather just keep doing shit, understanding that people are inspired by action.)

So what I did was create a presentation called "A Nerd's Guide to Being Unapologetically Awesome." It is my life story intertwined with how that launched this brand, and how people can take next doable actions to following their own passions, their own dreams, and doing all the cool shit they want to do.

You won't ever ever ever catch me talking about business on this site. Ever ever ever ever ever. I would die in fact before I ever talked about that, but that's where this presentation steps in, and where the book that I am writing (of the same name) will also discuss. I'd much rather keep this space sacred for gnarly adventures, great stories, and good peoples. The biznass can be done elsewhere.

Anywho, there was this chickadee in the audience that was a teacher at Cal State, and she stopped me after I got off stage and asked me if she could have my contact info - that she was a professor, and wanted to see if she could arrange for me to speak to her students.

I gave her my card, and flash forward to just a few weeks ago, she actually emailed me and asked me to come in on the 7th of November to teach.

RRAAAADDD!! I thought! I'm not a big fan of the public speaking circut, but dude I'm TOTALLY honored to be asked to be of service and go in and motivate some youngins.

She and I have since been going back and forth, and now the date is almost here, and I'm SOOO EXCITED!!!

I will be teaching 3 classes on Monday, an hour each with a 15 minute Q&A. It's totally fucking cool too that the students are also doing this contest to be able to win a spot at having lunch with me.

DOES NO ONE ELSE SEE THE HILARIOUS IRONY IN ALL OF THIS?!?!?!

1. Again, I never even WENT to college.

2. Lunch time at school caused me THE MOST ANXIETY on the planet. For reals, I was a loner in school. I never had a solid group of friends, I just putzed around ... and every year the notion of having to figure out who had lunch the same period as me was CRAZY SCARY. Now you're telling me people are actually competing to have lunch with me?

How the hell is this not the most RIDICULOUS thing on this planet!!!

I am excited.

I am humbled.

I am ready.

Since unfortunately it is a college, it is not open to the public - but I will be recording the talk and putting it up on the YouTube. And dudes, you guys are TOTALLY welcome to come and kick it during lunch. I have like a 3 hour break, so lemme find out the exact location where they are hosting, and we can all meet up. I'm stoked to meet some more of you.

But yeah, man - this shit is fucking nuts. Two years ... it only took me two years almost to the day to get this shit done, and all I have to do is go in and tell the students about my alternative lifestyle.

HAHAHAAHAHAH the. most. amazing. thing. ever.

Keep doing cool shit nerds. If you see something different in the world, and if you REALLY BELIEVE something can be done - just do it. You're right! The answers to every question we could ever have in life are already inside of you. Be present, and listen - you KNOW what is right!!!

Keep on keepin on! And omg omg omg omg I am TOTALLY going to dress up and play the part.

This will be fun!! Can't WAIT Cal State!!!
