#OpenLetter: Dear everyone in my life, so my phone and debit card just got stolen
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. FUCCKKK!!!
The producer in me is salivating at this story but UUUUUUGGHHHHHHHHH my phone just got swiped at the bar. Literally within SECONDS I caught it - but I was at table service, put the phone to my right, and BOOM! my iPhone got swiped.
They've now CLEARED my debit card of all my cash (I had a speck credit card holder on the phone) - and now LEGIT I have to catch a flight to Miami COMPLETELY sans everything. (Out of sheer luck when they checked my ID at the bar I put my ID back in my purse and not in my phone. I've actually never had my debit card stolen before so this is a first.)
I have another documentary to film starting at 11am tomorrow, but after that - I'm catching my red eye at 9pm.
I could cry right now, I obvi told the bank what happened, but I now have to travel with LITERALLY THREE DOLLARS to my name ...
This person genuinely needed it more than me ... but this hurts. My phone (which is password protected THANK GOODNESS) is the only part of my life that I genuinely don't publish. I've changed all of my email and social media passwords, but even my playlists - it's terribly, terribly personal and something COMPLETELY outside of my control. I need to learn to accept and just let go.
It would be so much easier if this didn't hurt so much.
FUUUCCKKKKK how did they get it so quickly??!?!?!?!?! We had TABLE SERVICE!!!
I am now traveling cross country tomorrow sans a phone or ABSOLUTELY any money to my name. Anyone want to get me at the airport when I land?
Totes not kidding.
WOW - this GENUINELY just got interesting.
