#NerdsUnite: Ask That Nerdy Chick (didn't feel chemistry on first date. do you have to contact date again?)

It is my goal for 2012 to take a lot of my weird and wonky experiences as a lifecaster and help nerdy dudes out by providing a frank (not shirley) and honest answer to some weird and potentially random questions you may have about life.

Here is an email I got this morning ...

AHHHH this is such a polarizing issue. I've thought about this a lot, and everyone seems to have a different opinion on it.

I, personally, do not follow up with anyone if I did not enjoy the date. I don't think after a first date anyone owes anyone ANYTHING. A first date, especially one that grew from an online initial meeting is based on testing chemistry. If you have chemistry - great! The guy should always always always follow up the next day with a text saying "had a great time last night. We should do it again soon!"

He should then wait for her to respond, and if she comes back with "me too" or anything along those lines, feel free to contact her later in the week for a second date. If she doesn't respond however, say no more - it means she "just wasn't that into you."

Dating is SUUCCHHHHH a gamble dudes, I LITERALLY cannot stress that enough. You not only have to be attracted to someone, but then feel chemistry ... and the TIMING of either party making sure neither just got out of a relationship, or was recently contacted by an ex or someone ELSE they were interested in.

AHHHHHHH!!! The fact that man has procreated at all is truly miraculous. ::well done ... well done::

But to go back to your question, if there is NO chemistry I would just leave it be. Neither the guy or girl has to answer and SHOULD THEY answer you back, it is of my humble opinion that you do not need to respond back - simply ignore.

THERE!! I said it!!! I'm a bitch, but I'm fucking real man. Don't waste your time feeling bad, just keep trucking and keep putting yourself out there; you'll find what you're looking for.

Just remember though, life is reflective. ::mwahahaha::
