#NerdsUnite: Ask That Nerdy Chick ... (where to take a date)
It is my goal for 2012 to take a lot of my weird and wonky experiences as a lifecaster and help nerdy dudes out by providing a frank (not shirley) and honest answer to some weird and potentially random questions you may have about life. ::deep breath::
Here's an email I got this week on Facebook ....
Well, it depends. When it comes to an OKC date, or any other online dating site - your first date should always always always be either over a few beers or coffee. The first time you're meeting someone from a dating website is about sniffing them out and seeing if there is chemistry. Sure theoretically speaking you guys might be compatible, but you still have to see if you genuinely like the person and feel that spark.
So, that for sure should always always always be your first date. Good places to go in WeHo?? I like Bar Lubitsch, The Den, The Surly Goat, The Hudson is kinda douchey but kinda alrite sometimes too. Jones is my super duper fav, but save that for the second date when you take her to dinner. (Be prepared to drop about $100 though between dinner and drinks. It's not cheap, but the ambiance there is AH-MAZING and a great spot to take a date.)
After you've established the chemistry, THEENNNNN you can transition to either dinner or an activity date. (Remember the guy needs to pay for the first few times you guys go out drinking, and the first dinner or activity date. SUPER important psychologically for the female to view you as the provider. Yes, I know it is expensive, but it is a SUPPEERRR important part of courtship - so deal.) I liked going to the observatory at Griffith Park, or even the caves in Malibu (which are just south of Zuma beach). There is also a laser tag facility in Sherman Oaks that I know I'm personally DYING to try, and there's also ice skating in Culver City.
You've got a lot going on in the area to check out, it just depends on what stage of dating you are with the girl, and what both of your genuine interests are.
Note: Some girls aren't into the outdoors, or laser tag ::cough cough high maintenance bitches cough cough:: so make sure when it comes to activity dates you are reading the girl right and putting her in the proper scenario for love to be able to brew.
