so libya has tried to shut down their internet so they can slaughter people away from the eyes of the world. bahrain and yemen have had some violent episodes but things scaled back since some highly publicized acts of violence and repression committed by the police state. people are taking part in these events, and the labor union uprisings in the u.s., centered in wisconsin but gathering sympathy in other states, and the koch brothers are sending their freedomworks army of jiveass fake protesters to counterprotest. but the media is calling them "pro-governor" supporters instead of "easily manipulated drones being moved like pawns on a chessboard by a giant corporation hiding behind a nonprofit front group," just as in egypt they called the armed thugs who were really disguised emplyees of the regime "pro mubarak protesters." for instance look at this quick search result. front page return from time magazine. check out the language it occurs there too. now, the "pro kaddafi protesters" are described as being a different group than the police who are killing people, but they are not real protesters they are fucking shills of the regime. it's the teaparty trick gone worldwide. i dont think enough people are aware that all of this stuff is completely destroying the first amendment. a corporate news media that cares more about revenues than journalistic integrity subverts freedom of the press. protests set up by dictators and tycoons subvert the right to assembly. if you subvert these things enough you destroy their intended meanings and freedom in general becomes meaningless. argh. etc
