An Open Letter to @hitrecordjoe aka Joseph Gordon-Levitt
#TalkNerdyToMeLover's @Armeni_Kamciyan
OK, so I have been a fan since your “Angels in the Outfield” and “10 Things I Hate About You” days but, YOU + Inception equals me being one happy camper.
Little did I know that acting was only tiny part of your Unapologetic Awesomeness. After I saw Inception, I saw you on the cover of Details magazine and impulse bought the issue. I was expecting some nice pictures at the very least, but then I actually read the whole article and you are seriously getting this whole Internet thing. Rarely have I had so much wisdom and humility radiating from a magazine article about a Hollywood film actor.
I am in LOVE with your website, www.hitRECord.org.
For anyone who hasn’t heard of it, hitRECord is JGL’s online collaborative production company where users can upload any type of original content, and other users in the community can remix, sample, and reimagine your “records”. The beauty of it is that if an idea gets developed enough that it turns into something JGL can make profitable, everyone who contributes gets a cut.
This is usage of the Internet I can definitely get behind. It is a worldwide artistic collaborative community that defies space and time!
The reason most ppl (including me) have so much anxiety about starting major creative endeavors is because they become obsessed with understanding the final picture before they even begin the artistic process. It’s so hard to have faith that the journey is where the final product comes from. Creativity loves the snowball effect and I love your site because it really embraces this idea.
You could start with one picture or one line of a poem and it can inspire someone else to take it to the next level. I just love this idea. This is the beauty of the Internet.
So Joe, I thank you for being so amazing but I need to ask you one favor. Can you stop being so adorably nerdy? Cause if you keep being so smart and cute at the same time I’m gonna blow a fuse.
Sincerely yours,
