@Osama We're coming to get you!
#TalkNerdyToMeLover's Ponder This
Sometimes it's better to think before you broadcast something to the world. Unfortunately, an Israeli soldier didn't knew that and posted this status update on his Facebook wall:
'On wednesday we clean up Qatanah, and on Thursday, god willing, we come home.'
But, since this post isn't dumb enough, he also posted the name of his unit, the place of the operation and the exact time. Needless to say, the operation was called off and the military wasn't amused. They gave him some time off to think about his actions and send him to a nice little lodging called 'Military Prison'. Sadly, the network coverage wasn't very good at this facility so we don't know if he's having fun there.
We wish him a nice holiday and always remember #RTFM!
In Pentagon's social media policy there's a passage that might concern you: 'Keep in mind that everyone has a responsibility to protect themselves and their information online, and existing regulations on ethics, operational security, and privacy still apply. Be sure never to post any information that could be considered classified, sensitive, or that might put military members or families in danger.'
