Actual Sign: Santa Monica is Full

SOOO!! I was taking my friend to the airport today, and I saw one of those Amber Alert signs read "Santa Monica is Full. All Parking Structures Closed."

First off, that is weird ... when is an ENTIRE city unable to accommodate any more cars?!!?!? WEIRDDD!! (I know the LA Marathon was going on, but COME ON!!! Dude, I would have snapped a picture if I wasn't driving. It was SO. Friggen. COOL!)

Secondly, does anyone know if those signs are connected to Twitter? Why can't the dude that types those alerts up also set up a CA Highway Patrol Twitter thingie majigger. That way, if I was home ... I could not only know the expected travel time,  but also if there were sudden TOWN PARKING CLOSURES!!

Food for thought ... but it would definitely work!! ... here ya go Universe! Hope someone can do something about it!!
