The various types of #hustle
So, I'm a hustler. Like for real ... the only two words I would ever use to describe myself would be "hustler & artist." They just fit. Everything else is just a different shade of the rainbow - but those are the two biggest categories I would define myself as being in.
I very honestly knew the vision that I had for this blessed little website, but I had no idea how the hell to get it done. I am just crazy stupid good at breaking things down into actions. It's just a thing I gotz goin on, but its super rad how much the hustle can change over time.
When it first started it was, get people involved & get people reading ... I still can't pay a single person to post on this site, but by hangin out with us, you can feel the passion. That's how we're all motivated around these parts - by the crazy passion that is in the organic awesomeness that each one of us has. Dude, I used to sit in coffee shops to jack their free wifi, wearing weird clothes and have weird stickers on the back of my mac just to engage with people and to get them talking. I would then tell them about the website, about the Fiesta Movement, and about the fact that the world is changing. It was super bitchin, but a total hustle.
Now, its a different kind of hustle. People know about us. K, cool - now its like the management of it all. People have just fallen from the sky with wanting to help us, I don't have to turn blue in the face anymore, my job now is more defined as a bullshit filter. I have no interest in anyone "doing anything" for us. We're good. I just want people to feel inspired enough to make a change in their own life, if they deem it necessary, and document it on the site.
Again, I don't want journalists, I don't want this sensationalistic bullshit - I want real people, doing real things. Dude, I changed my LIFEEEE like forever and ever - they're making a movie out of it, and its just crazy awesome ... but anyone can do it.
I am looking for people that
1. want to change their life.
2. are interested in documenting it.
3. know that I will not hold their hand. We're an incredibly tight community, but hand holding I do not do. Print out your permission slip, and go be fucking awesome. It's organic, so go do it!!!!! I didn't have anyone hold my hand - and I am COMPLETELY convinced that is what got it all done so quickly.
I want lifecasters. I want people who are willing to challenge themselves to find their own version of happiness through whatever means that may be. I'm figuring out the financial component, so I assure you there is a tremendous amount of trust that has to come into play. The reward may be great, but then again so is the risk. Dude, 3 months ago I was sleeping in my car, and a few weeks back I was on a private plane. I know this works ... I just want life told by people actually living it, documented in real time.
So yeah, if you're game - that's what I want. Drop me a tweet @JenFriel, or an email: JenFriel@talknerdytomelover.com and lets get it on. Cause, yeah ... I want to ... and you're hot ... and um. yeah.
