#TalkNerdyToMeLover's @DerekJ_AllDay

Hey everyone, hope you are having a good day! I have been thinking about my subject for this post, and I have finally come to the decision that today is going to be an off-topic post. Now, I could be writing about the NBA playoffs which I botched last week…sure. Or I could write about Peyton Manning and the previously known (by me) Denver Tebows working out for the first time…definitely. I am sure I could find quite a few things to write about, but we’re all nerds here and I have had one nerdy subject on my mind for the past couple of months. This subject is…

Mass Effect 3 (Xbox 360). If you follow my twitter, or my posts you know that I love video games, and specifically the Mass Effect franchise. For my money, I would take this video game trilogy over all other game franchises. Going into too much detail about the game would end up causing me to write a 30 page magazine so I am going to attempt to stick to the basics…

You play the main character, Shephard, in all three of the games. As the story progresses you find out that there is an ancient enemy on its way to wipe out all humanity, and obviously it is up to you to stop them! This sounds like every other game, but the size and scale of the game is what is truly incredible. It is a space-based game, and it takes place a couple hundred years from now. We have encountered many alien species, and a political structure has been created implementing all of them. The game does not lack a second of detail, as every single race has a full story and culture behind them. Along with that, many missions take you to their worlds and you get to experience their culture first hand.

If you want to learn the details about Mass Effect you can go to this link, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_effect.

Added on top off all of this is a top of the line combat system and an impressive ability to make you feel the realness of the human condition. All games have flaws, but this game has to be a 10/10.

So here is the point of my video game babbling…I beat Mass Effect 3 last night and I want to see what everyone’s opinions are! Personally, I loved the ending (both of them), but many people told me that they didn’t like it. I want to get your opinion and reasons why, but be warned…do NOT read my Mass Effect conversations unless you have beaten the game because I am issuing a ****FULL SPOILER ALERT****. With that said, I hope everyone is toughing it out through the last couple weeks of the semester, and I’ll talk to you guys next week.
