I bought myself a booth space at a wedding expo that is coming up later in the month, and dang, I am putting a crap load of work and time and money into this bad burner. I already booked a wedding off of it, before it’s even happened, so it is totally totally worth it, but it is a pretty massive investment and is starting to bog me down a bit. There was another one today so I went to scope out the competition.
WOWZAS, I am feeling SSOSSSOOOOOO much better about things now! The other photographers don’t have much on me. My quality is comparable, my prices are way better, and my booth setup is going to rock their socks right off. Seriously, blow them straight off their feet. Maybe their pants, too.
What a relief. I am designing some badass promo material, and Brian is building me a super sweet booth display that no one else has...so I am mostly going to kick major buns at this thing. My confidence in my photography hasn’t been amazing lately, so this was a great boost. Yay team!
So my kids are totally watching Fern Gully. Best movie ever. I’m a bit of a nature hippy, and I know the importance of conservation, education and rainforest preservation. Literally, I have seen the effects firsthand, not only on the environment, but also on the flora, the fauna, the economy and the people. It’s a bad deal, and any rainforest we can save is a step in the right direction. They are these amazing wealths of resources in soo so so so so many ways, and movies like Fern Gully are a great tool for kiddos. Unfortunately it came out way before it’s time, and the green movement. It totally still holds up, and the animation is not as dated as you would think. And one of the little fairies is voiced by Christian Slater, which cracks me up every time. Um, well...that’s all I have to say about that.
