Very #Nerdy Day at @Disneyland
#TalkNerdyToMeLover's @maniacalmorgan
So, yesterday was totally my birthday if you didn't see the post. (thank you Jen!) I've been alive and kicking for 24 years. Next time I blink my eyes, I'm going to be 40. I swear, time goes by so fast! I've totally been loving life more and more. So, being that it was my birthday and all, what did I decide to do? I decided to go to Disneyland! That's right nerds, me, a grown ass man, decided to go to Disneyland. I love that place! The question was, who was I going to go with? The first name that popped into my head was our very own Nerd Queen, Jen! So, I picked her up Friday and we headed off for the happiest place on earth.
I've been to Disneyland a million and a half times. Literally. Disneyland is hands down my favorite theme park. It's just so much fun! We started our day with some ice cream and wandered over to Pirates of the Caribbean. It's been tradition to ride Pirates as the first ride of the day. No way we were breaking that tradition! Since the release of the movie, Pirates of the Caribbean, the ride has been revamped with Captain Jack Sparrow and Davey Jones. It's not quite as I remember it as a boy, but still awesome none-the-less. As we started to wander over to Space Mountain, Jen received a phone call that ended up with Kaley Cuoco singing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" live on TNTML. That was an adventure in and of itself. We sprinted through the park knocking over kids, pushing elderly couples out of the way, and setting three fires while trying to make it back to the car to grab Jen's laptop. Two tram rides, 15 minutes, and a few gallons of sweat later we made it to ESPN Zone for lunch / free wi-fi. Thanks to Jen's quick thinking and fast reactions, we made the deadline with seconds to spare. Kaley Cuoco was featured on TNTML and sang beautifully!
After this epic adventure, we managed to find our way back in the park. Jen went on Space Mountain for the first time! That was totally exciting. We hit up all the other major rides: The Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones, Splash Mountain, etc. I had a blast! It was a super super super fun birthday! I just wanted to share this adventure with all you nerdy people. :D
