#Randombling: Life of a Ginger

Randombling: A 5 minute long unedited random stream of consciousness produced by nerds for nerds.
So after months of wondering WHAT I am going to write about... I got a little push tonight... I have been really intrigued with the success of a west coast blogger/nerd lately (insert plug- talknerdytomelover.com). After a couple of small paragraphs back and forth (140 characters or less) and some thinking... I decided to just write.
I am going to start writing about whatever the hell I want. I figure with myself working 50 hours a week, sleeping 50 hours a week, prepping and primping 3 hours a week, eating 5 hours a week- that I have 60 hours of my life in a given week that I could talk about.
It is tough to really narrow it down to one specific topic- but on the weekends I am at the bars, (and have some funnier than shit stories (Tucker Max would be proud)) the theatre, the movies... I watch TV, sports, videos, YouTube... I love electronics, cell phones, gadgets... I love food, restaurants, beer... So why narrow it down?!? I think I will just write... If you don't like it or a topic doesn't grab your interest, move on.
So allow me to start off- I am a red head, a ginger, a copper top, a fire crotch... I have heard them all- you know that gingers take up less than 2% of the worlds population?!? AND that 70% of gingers are female? (lets see... I'm doing the math... (.6%) of the worlds population are a male ginger) So quit your rants of being a minority- "I" am the worlds TRUE minority.
I used to hate my hair color- for years I would dye it, shave it, dye it, mohawk it, dye it... I was embarrassed with the color that I was truly blessed with. Its been blue, black, white, blonde, auburn, burgandy, black and burgandy, white and blue, leopard print, zebra print, blue mohawk, black mini dreads, completely shaved. I have finally moved on... embraced with what I was blessed with... And I realize that most people don't care. That most humans do truly look at the inside.
I am truly blessed with a large network of friends and loved ones. I know that the older I get, the more mature our friendships become. Sure, most of my friends are married, with children (insert cheesy Frank Sinatra song) but I know that any one of them, including their spouse, would drop what they are doing to chat if I really needed them.
To end this thought, and to start a new chapter of opening my life a little bit more for those who are not a part of my weekly life- You really do live one life. You are given one chance to make a difference. On that note- I am ending with one of my favorite quotes-
"Don't you realize? The next time you see sky, it'll be over another town. The next time you take a test, it'll be in some other school. Our parents, they want the best of stuff for us. But right now, they got to do what's right for them. Because it's their time. Their time! Up there! Down here, it's our time. It's our time down here. That's all over the second we ride up Troy's bucket."
Promise me this- Please don't end up in Troy's bucket!
