My Thoughts on the Future of #Film

#TalkNerdyToMeLover's Brooke Wiegman

I know that a lot of people are die hard movie goers and go to the movies all the time. I’m not one of those people. I’d rather sit on my computer and watch web series and in fact that I do on a regular basis.

I believe in the not so distant future that a lot more episodic television like content is going to end up on line. Sites like YouTube, Vimeo, Blip TV, and many more have made it easy for producers and directors to get their work to a worldwide audience.
What exactly is a web series? It is very much like a television show in a lot of aspects. The shows have episodes, which vary in length, are done in seasons, and if they are done well, attract a fan base. Their major downfall is their budget. You can tell when a series is done on a low budget.

I’ll give you my picks for shows that are worth your time. I’ll start with comedy.
1.      The Guild (by far my favorite)—www.watchtheguild.com
2.      Easy to Assemble—http://www.easytoassemble.tv/
3.      Solo the Series— www.watchsolo.com

Now for drama
1.      Anyone but Me(love it)— www.anyonebutmeseries.com

So I guess that I don’t watch very many drama web series. Seriously though, check out Anyone but Me. It’ll be worth the time. Starting the 27th, they‘re doing a web-a-thon to raise money for season three of the show. Take a look at.

If none of the series I mentioned are your type, check out www.koldcast.tv for more. They have a lot of series on their site from a lot of different genres.

This is where the future is headed. Why not jump ahead of the curve and start watching now?
