A 1971 painting, "Conan The Destroyer", by fantasy artist, Frank Frazetta, has sold for $1.5 million. A private collector bought the painting from a family trust. It is the highest price paid for a Frazetta art piece.
Two months ago, Frazetta died in Florida, at the age of 82. His iconic illustrations of "Conan The Barbarian", "Tarzan" and other characters often graced comic books, album covers, and movie posters. In recent years, his children have fought over an estate estimated to be worth of tens of millions of dollars.
