#Banned: One hand on the hip not on a red carpet picture

Okey dokey ... I have been making a conscious effort to not do something as of late, and I'd like you all to join in. I, Jen Friel, will not pose with my hand on my hip in any pictures from this point on ... for the rest of my nerdy little life.

No for reals ... who do I think I am? Paris??

Being a nerd is wayyyyy cooler.

Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday, however you would never know from the looks of this picture ...

My left elbow totally throws the framing of this picture off ...

I was on set of some uber important flick here ... and CLEARLY I am not having any fun ...

I would even put my hand on the hip when I was sitting DOWN!!! This is just TRAGIC!!!!!!

Let's try this WITHOUT the elbow on the hip, and see if we notice a difference in organic levels of fun ...

This is me ... meeting my idol Soleil aka Punky Brewster at the #140Conf. It may be dark, but FUN is definitely being had by all.

With friends ... having FUNNN!!! No hands on hips!!!

Hands may be near hips in this photo, however ... fun is still retained and levels of unapologetic awesomeness are still off the charts.

Get it nerds??? Hands on the hips SUCK!!! It impedes all fun from entering into life.

What shall a good nerd do instead? IMPROVISE!!!

Grab a random stranger in the street as you are about to take a picture and make him as uncomfortable as possible.

Sure sticking your hand on your hip may make you look thinner, but who really cares?!?! Life is about having FUN and being FREE!! Eff the man, and eff what traditional media has told you to think of as beautiful. We are redefining it el nerderinos!!! We are SOCIAL media ... so come on!! Get SOCIAL! Take those hands off those hips and let's have some mother effin FUN!!!
