Skydiving as a way of life ...
Something snapped in me when I went skydiving (go ahead, insert obvious puns). Feeling the air, and the free fall made me realize I have been living life the wrong way. Well, I never like this whole right/ wrong thing ... but the lesser than easy way.
About a month ago, I started the 86,400 second rule. I will only make plans with you if it is within the 86,400 seconds. Not that I think I am too cool for school - but shiznat comes up in life. It could be you! You could have grown an extra eyeball overnight, temporarily lost your vision (except for the one eye) and have to retrain yourself to see, eat, and function properly. Okay, okay, I kid ... but you get the jist. We're humans! We gots things to do, yo! The more and more I make plans with people straight from Twitter and Facebook, the more I started to see that when you are called out on social media, you feel a level of responsibility and adhere to the plans you so clearly stated via tweet or wall posting. I just think that is GNARLY!!! So I dig it, and am open to all these weird new experiences - and MAN they feel GREAT!!!
I get so much done in a single day it is absurd. I'm not even kidding - if I were to sit down and "plan out my day just so ..." there is NO way I would create a schedule like the one I have. By staying in the moment, I am not only truer to myself (especially in acknowledging physical and emotional limitations), but gradually every. single. day. is getting better than the next. I just don't get it!!!! This is so @ss backwards from everything I was taught to do in life ... life, you're a pretty darn good teacher!! I'm just sayin ... you might even be like, teacher of the YEAR!!
And oh yeah ... there's a video of me skydiving. For your viewing pleasure I present to you:
