My Lunch With @JenFriel -- Unapologetically #Awesome!
#TalkNerdyToMeLover's Awesome Applesauce: Charles Quevedo
Today was an awesome day today. When I woke up this morning, I had no idea that I'd be having lunch with my favorite nerd queen, @JenFriel. Late in the morning, I asked her on Twitter if she was free to get together one day in the near future ... and it turned out she had time to hang out today. We agreed to meet at "BJs Restaurant & Brewhouse" (in Moreno Valley) at 3:00 PM.
I arrived early and had a Bud Light at the bar. Jen came in through the front door about 15-20 minutes after and greeted me with the most "awesome" hug anybody can get. After 3 years of talking to each other on-line, we finally met in person! From the moment I met her, I noticed that there was this "specialness" about her. I always thought Jen was beautiful, but seeing her up close and personal ... she is simply "drop dead gorgeous". Her sparkly blue eyes and her freckles especially stood out. We grabbed a booth and ordered our food. As we ate; we talked about the "Talk Nerdy To Me Lover" revolution, her "Unapologetically Awesome Spring/Summer 2010 Tour", our friends on Twitter and what I want in life. I couldn't help but smile throughout the entire lunch, staring at her in awe (all "giddy" inside). When Jen talked to me about her site and what she wants for it, I could see her "passion" and "confidence" bubbling inside her (it's just like how she talks on this site, but amplified 10 times more in person ... I loved it!). She was so adorable, I had to restrain myself from reaching across the table and giving her a big smooch (something I've been wanting to do for a long time).
What really made me smile was that Jen talked very fast (I found it very cute). She just had a lot of energy inside her (as if she was the "Energizer Bunny" on caffine), always on the "go". NOT sure if I could keep up with Jen if I went partying with her.
Finishing up lunch, we headed to the parking lot where she showed me her car, the "Fiesta". We then took some last pics together. Jen allowed me to give her a kiss on the cheek and I allowed her to rub my bald head. We gave each other big hugs and parted ways. Kinda sad that my time with Jen ended so quickly, but in that short time, she put a big smile on my face. She's a very sweet person.
She definitely gave me some inspiration today. I snapped some pics that I wanted to share with you other "Talk Nerdy ..." lovers. Enjoy!
Thanks for the fun today, Jen! You filled my day with sheer awesomeness! Love ya, sweetie!
