#UAwesome: A day without a livestream ...
SO! Today Verizon decided it was going to be a poopy face, and suspended my account activity. Dude, apparently they like getting paid in full and not 90% and 10% in smiles. (Freedom in freelancing is the shiznat - chasing down invoices 24/7 is for the dogs.)
I took this major bummer as an opportunity. I thought well, in some places I'll be traveling on the Unapologetically Awesome Spring/ Summer Tour 2010 (Official Hashtag: #UAwesome) - I might not get service. Because although Verizon says they have the best coverage, the best network, the best yada yada - it still doesn't translate to 100% covered, 100% of the time. Well, sponsors don't like that. If they're helping to support you, and you're in turn advertising for them - they want their ads to be seen. I get it, I get it ...
SOOO!!! I decided to take a photographic journey of my epic little adventure today in getting lost en route to the Golden Gate Bridge.
First things first ... No epic adventure can begin until you have the proper awesome shoes. *Insert $7 Ponys* CHECK!
Then ... I'll throw in a random inspirational picture/ quote to get your noggin scratching and processing ...
We never take pictures of the rear view mirror. Then why the hell do you keep looking at it!? Life is driven through the view of the windshield, and although objects in your mirror may be closer than they appear, if it's in the rear - you're in the clear.
I started out in San Fran - and wound up going the wrong way, as my phone wasn't working - I only had TomTom to guide my way. Any time you place a man in the navigation, you know you're in deep doo doo ...
I wound up at Ocean Park. It was BEAU-TIFUL!
Apparently this is a pretty hip local spot - as that what the people told me. So I snapped another picture to further validate it's coolness.
See ... I snapped this.
This is a very hip place.
Then, I got in the Fiesta, and drove away.
THEN!!! I wound up by this uber neato- coffee shop! Dude, their coffee was $2 and AH-MAZING! Meet Tully's Coffee ...
I feel like this could be more of a "chain-like" establishment - but either way we don't have it in LA - so I dug it. Holy crapsicles it was yummy in my tummy!
Got back on the highway of life ... and took the "scenic route" traveling all the way down to Vista Pointe. DUDE!!!!! That place was UN-BE-WEEEEEE-VABLE!!
I could totally see this as the setting for all 50 of the Friday the 13ths!! So many places you could throw a dead, mutilated, and otherwise unrecognizable body ...
I hung out for a minute, and snapped this picture that was hopefully going to give me an idea for a cool caption. My brain has failed ... so now I'm just going to laugh at the lack of a funny picture caption which will in essence create a funny picture caption.
Then, I decided I was hungry. Since awesome is organic, I decided these weeds were awesome, and I wanted to consume them.
Then I got back in the car and noticed one minor detail in the epic adventure of a lifetime ...
NEED GAS!
Darn ... I was having so much fun too ...
Bottom line el duderinos, no matter what happens in life - you're always okay! Sure, it stunk major butthole that I didn't have my cell this morning, but I got it back ... and in the meantime, found a pretty cool story to tell.
I don't know why things happen the way that they do in life- but WHO CARES?!!! Life is awesome. That's organic. Stress is entirely man made as an ego-centric reaction to situations you thought you could control. Get over it! Have FUN! Live LIFE! At the end of the day, all those little nuisances will mean nothing to you anyway!
Keep on rocking nerdy folk ... we all think we see the same things in life, but it's time you got your vision checked.
PS. I never did end up at the Golden Gate Bridge, but I guess I'll just have to go tomorrow to say what's up. YAYYY!!! =)
