Marketing #101: Tell the people about your product

SO! I was supposed to be in San Fran last week for the Ford Fiesta Movement - however, the publicist told us at the last minute that a few things had changed and our presence was no longer requested ... or something along those lines - I kinda half tuned out ...



ANYWHO! Rather than get all weird and sad about not going - I just tweeted my good ol' buddy Vaughan (the co-founder of Pizza Fusion aka the most AMAZING pizza I have EVER had) and told him I wanted to try something.


I asked if I could hand out FREE Pizza Fusion slices on the boardwalk and film it. Just me ... no big crew ... no nada. Just a nerdy chick with a passion and a platform.


(Vaughan and I became friends via Twitter and he so graciously offered for me to come in and try his AMAZING pizza in Hollywood. Uggghhhh ... SOO. FREAKING. GOOD!!)


SOO!! I did ... and it was kinda a big success ...

I filmed the video on my FlipCam (courtesy of Ford) in my left hand ... while livestreaming on the Droid positioned in my right hand ... and had my Sony Cybershot around my neck. 


I don't know if I would do it that way again that gangster - but IT. GOT. DONE. We're missing the action here nerdy folk. Vaughan has amazing pizza. More people need to know this. Rather than strategise how we can execute x goal to the y degree and some how manage to acute the triangle's Pythagorean theorem ... blah blah blah. #LessTalkMoreAction. Just get 'er done folks!!! I can't even BEGIN to tell you how many flyers I handed out, WHILE livestreaming to the Ustream audience who can, OH YEAH, buy it in their area ...


NONE OF THIS IS ROCKET SCIENCE. JUST NO ONE ELSE IS DOING IT YET. Get off your butts, dudes and dudettes!!!!! The medium changed - however, we still CRAVE that information!!!! GIVE IT TO THEM!!! PREFERABLY IN PRETTY PACKAGING!!!!


This whole social media thing isn't anything new! We're just now buying products our friends tell us about, rather than the ones that the big wigs dictate to us. We're OVER it! Creativity is what drives consumerism ... so go ... get creative!!!


Now, go get some pizza from Pizza Fusion!!


 



Remember, failure is defined as not trying. If you try, and even if it doesn't "succeed" - you gained experience.
