OK, not to get all handout-y on you, but I need some help raising money for a good cause. As I wrote over on AdamIsAweso.me, I'm going to be attending Slay-A-Thon 2010 in two months, and I'm hoping to raise a decent amount of money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. 

What is Slay-A-Thon? Well, in a nutshell it's an all-day "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"/"Angel" episode marathon where attendees make donations and bid on auction items to help raise money for Make-A-Wish. If you want more details, visit www.slayathon.org, but trust me when I say this event is definitely unapologetically awesome. 

I'm personally donating $500 to the cause this year, and I'm hoping that the TNTML community (along with my Twitter followers, Facebook friends, etc) can match that. Hell, if every visitor to this website (it's not a website, it's a revolution!) donated just $1, we'd kick that goal's ass.

So how do you donate? Well, if you visit my original post, there's a PayPal donate button there, as well as one on www.slayathon.org. Just remember when you donate via PayPal to put in my name as the Slay-a-Thon attendee you're supporting. Also, if you don't feel comfortable using PayPal, you can donate via cash or check too. Just send me an e-mail and I'll get you the details there. And if you want to join me at Slay-A-Thon you can. It's June 19 in Chicago. I'll be road-trippin' from Connecticut, and possibly even live-streaming, so that should be all kinds of fun.

Remember, it's a great cause, a nerdy cause (seriously, we watch "Buffy" and "Angel" and "Dr. Horrible" all day, how awesome is that?) and every little bit helps.
