Twitter is trivial? Really CNN voters? Really?
#TalkNerdytoMeLover's According to Adam
There is still a large portion of the population that thinks Twitter is a waste of time. I know. I used to believe that too. But I've come around to realize Twitter can be a very powerful medium. Apparently the CNN.com viewing audience hasn't.
91%?! Sure, it's "not a scientific poll", but that's pretty damning. Obviously the Library of Congress disagrees, since they're now keeping an archive of every public tweet. And we've seen in the past how Twitter can break news, most notably in the Hudson River plane landing. Sure, there are still plenty of trivial tweets (I'm looking at you Bieber-lovers), but for 91% of the voting users on CNN.com to think Twitter messages are trivial seems to show a disconnect between audiences.
What do you think? Are Twitter messages trivial? (note: don't base your opinion on my Twitter feed... I tend to be random and trivial in real life too, so Twitter is just an extension of that).
