RE: So, this is how I find out that One Republic is on #Leno
#TalkNerdyToMeLover's Ponder This
I case you are wondering about the movie sequences in the secrets clip, let me help you out.
They are from the German movie Zweiohrküken (two-ears chicken) which is the sequel of Keinohrhasen (no-ears rabbit).
Both films were big hits in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Keinohrhasen is no. 11 on the list of the 'most successful German movies in Germany' and the top-selling DVD in amazon.de's history.
Both films are romantic comedy movies without big surprises but with a lot of charm. Let me give you a brief overview about the story and explain the weird sounding titles.
The main character of the movie is Ludo Decker, a yellow press reporter who's working for a tabloid in Berlin. One day he tries to get images of Wladimir Klitschko, who's about to make a proposal to his fiancée. Unfortunately Ludo's having an accident and gets caught while shooting the pictures. He gets sentenced to 300 hours of community service at a local daycare center.
The center is run by Anna Gotzlowski, who knows Ludo from kindergarden. Back then Ludo was a bully and Anna one of his favorite victims as we can see in some flashbacks. As the tide has turned Anna is using her new position and commands Ludo to do some unpleasant duties.
Over the time their hate for each other turns into friendship and…you probably get the idea.
But now to the origin of the movie title: There's one scene where Ludo and the children are modeling soft toys. Ludo's making a bunny without ears. While Anna is mocking him about that and the kids start to giggle, he's explaining to them that this is a special kind of rabbit, the so-called 'no-ears rabbit' (Keinohrhase).
The movies are written, produced, and directed by Til Schweiger, who's also playing the main character Ludo.
The movie had a budget about $5,6 million (I know. We have small budgets over here!) and a revenue of $74 million.
The main songs of the two movie soundtracks were both contributed by One Repuplic. The song apologize was the soundtrack for Keinohrhasen and secrets was the soundtrack for Zweiohrküken. Apologize is still the most played clip in the german part of Youtube with over 80 million views. Another popular song that was part of Zweiohrküken is I like by Keri Hilson.
A few weeks ago a read an interview with Til Schweiger in which he said that he has plans to shoot a Hollywood remake of Keinohrhasen. If he's really doing it and it will be as good as the original version, you definitely should watch it.
And remember where you heard first about it!!
Here's the trailer of Keinohrhasen (in German, of course!)
