#Foursquare makes love to MTV & VH1

(Source: MediaBistro) Cable networks MTV and VH1 will integrate location-based social-gaming app foursquare into its television, online, and mobile content, and the two MTV Networks channels will be the first media brands to launch foursquare's new Celebrity Mode tool, which allows users to friend celebrities.
DJ Pauly D from MTV reality hit Jersey Shore will be the first to test out Celebrity Mode, which allows its celebrity users to choose between sending check-ins to friends and followers or just to their inner-circle friends.
The initial MTV shows to incorporate foursquare will be The Hills, The City, the upcoming Real World: New Orleans, and Jersey Shore, while VH1 series getting involved are The T.O. Show, Fantasia for Real, and the upcoming What Chilli Wants.
MTV & VH1 Digital general manager and senior vice president Kristin Frank said:
Our audience wants more ways to engage with their favorite shows and celebrities they watch and love. This partnership with foursquare and the new Celebrity Mode gives fans a way to connect and get a behind-the-scenes look into the lives of their favorite MTV and VH1 talent by finding out about their favorite hangouts, clubs, and shops.And foursquare co-founder and CEO Dennis Crowley added:
