What is the #FiestaMovement??


I love traveling, and I love people. You can imagine my delight being here at #SXSW getting to not only talk nerdy, but getting to do it in a new town!!!


I have been shouting from the rooftops (and car seats) in LA about the Fiesta Movement. Asking people what they think of the car, asking if they've heard of the movement .. asking anything really. To my surprise, I have yet to meet a single person that has heard of the Fiesta Movement. Trust me, they start off saying, "wow that's great! I've totally seen something about that yada, yada." It's not until further prying, and expressing compassion that you are not judging them for not knowing, but just rather trying to establish a ground zero - a starting point if you will. 


To launch a successful marketing campaign, one must establish a base line. You need to understand where the end user is in their thought process of not only the product, but the brand and ... even further in our case, the movement. 


The 20 teams from 16 cities across the United States have quite the mission ... 


You have to understand something about me ... this competition is more to me than the chance to win a car. The car may be a wonderful prize- but this is my life. I have so much more to prove to myself in this. I eat. sleep. and breathe marketing (particularly social media). This is a revolution. Gone are the days of passive consumers, and aggressive seedy marketing monopolies. It is called SOCIAL media for a reason. I cut through the bulls#it, cut through the politics, cut through the agendas ... because I have none. I just want to be happy. Very frankly, I have nothing left to lose in life. I've removed all the labels I placed on myself over the years, and discovered that I am still living and breathing. There must be something else that I am here for, if these definitions proved to not be the defining factors in my life.


Bottom line: I will absolutely not stop until everyone I come in contact with has the absolute understanding of what we are doing. Why? Because this is the COOLEST thing that has ever happened to not only me, but in advertising and marketing in general!! This is the ULTIMATE test drive, done in REAL time, by REAL people. Dictating their experiences via livestreaming, pictures, video, tweeting, facebooking ... YOU NAME IT!
