My Very First #SpiritHood
#TalkNerdyToMeLover's @Tgumb
After what is going down as the best Halloween ever, I was invited to become a member of a Spirit Hood tribe. (it's LA- this shit just happens) That may sound rather cultish but if it is I will be the one double fisting the purple Kool-Aid. Seriously, who does not want to hang out with these rockstars? They even made their own Wings and can be found here.http://www.facebook.com/flyingwillow (Like it)
So once I decided to take the plunge and get a Spirit Hood I had to decide which one to get. They are all awesome, but reading the descriptions really narrowed it down for me. I was either a Husky or a Leapord.
The Husky spirit embodies spiritual well -being, resilience, and the ability to survive and guide others. This animal spirit works well with others and has great endurance in extreme circumstances. They are athletic, embodied, and have great physical strength. The Husky has immense determination and faith on a quest. They are hopeful and can survive in harsh environments. Their family bonds are strong, and they are extremely loyal to their pack.
The Leopard Spirit is able to blend in to many different circumstances with ease. People with this spirit find comfort in many different social situations yet also appreciate being alone. Often territorial and protective the Leopard naturally commands respect, without needing to demand it.
After I tried them on the decision was clear. I am a Husky. I love and take care of my friends so the description fit pretty well. The ironic thing was Snoop Dogg became a Husky the same day I did. That Snoop Dogg and I might as well be brothers.
My first adventure with the Tribe is Thursday night. We are going to see the Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros on the Jimmy Kimmel show! So freaking stoked! Look for me, I'll be the dude with the animal on his head. (one of them!)
