The 10 rules I live by ...
I've survived life for 25 years courtesy of these wonderful rules ...
1.Family is important. Sometimes they are blood other times they aren't. But bottom line, they are, and will always be there for you. Just make sure you know where you begin and they end ... because you happen to look like your Uncle Joe, and have your mom's laugh doesn't make you any less "you." Take ownership!
2. The people you least expect it will betray you. And those that you least expect will be there for you.
3. You will think life throws you a curve ball, only to discover that the only constant in life is change. There are lots of bumpy roads and mountains to climb.
4. Stay humble. What you do does not make you who you are. We are not defined by social classes or what kind of car we drive. So take a step back, and be grateful for all that we have and realize no one is better than you.
5. Kindness. Shocking! I have met the most amazing people by just saying hi! Smiling, and holding a door for someone can make their day -- why be a jackass?
6. Love to love ... We all are here to love, and be loved. If you are fortunate enough to fall in love, cherish it. It is a commodity not experienced enough. Don't judge or question it just let it be.
A) The opposite of love isn't hate, its apathy.
B) Best way to get over a break up is a trip to the Playboy Mansion :)
7. Live your life to the fullest.
8. Chase every dream - that means you are still alive. Living life is all about living your dreams. We forget sometimes how true that really is. Why are we here otherwise? And why have dreams if we aren't meant to go after them?
We may dream every night, but why forget them when we wake?
9. Stop self-sabotaging. We can be our own worst enemies.
10. And always remember, to wear sunscreen.
